At Shannon Optical, we are committed to making your work environment a safe one. We provide a variety of fitting and dispensing programs to ensure your employees are receiving quality products and convenient service. In addition, we can ease the administrative burden of compliance with eyewear requirements by providing an Online Program Administration Tool. Our sales representative will help you determine what type of eyewear program fits your needs. We will assist in both frame and lens selection and determining the most efficient way of ordering and dispensing eyewear.
The first component of any program is selecting the frames and lenses and other eyewear program specifications.
The second step is to decide how the glasses are fit and dispensed. Shannon Optical offers a wide variety of fitting and dispensing programs to ensure your employees are receiving quality products and convenient service.
Shannon Optical offers flexible payment plans and itemized billing, the final component of a successful program.
Shannon Optical schedules a certified optician to visit a facility for regularly scheduled appointments or on an “as-needed basis” to fit and dispense prescription safety eyewear. The on–site optician carries a large selection of frames and is able to collect employee co-pays. This optician will also ensure all orders are within program guidelines and maintain all records relevant to the program.
Participating ECP’s are established for employees for fitting and dispensing of eyewear at their convenience at an off-site location, usually a local eye doctor’s office. The employee brings a current prescription and the customized order form outlining program guidelines with them to the ECP. The participating ECP will fill out the form and forward it to Shannon Optical. Shannon Optical processes the eyewear and returns them to the ECP to be dispensed. The ECP then contacts the employee to schedule an appointment for dispensing the eyewear.
The employee schedules an eye exam with their own eye doctor and brings with them a customized order form outlining program guidelines. The doctor’s office will fill out the form. The employee returns the form to the company’s Safety Eyeglass Administrator, who forwards the order to Shannon Optical. Shannon Optical processes the glasses and returns the glasses to a location of choice: a doctor’s office, the Safety Eyeglass Administrator at the plant or to the employee’s home.
